EXPANDED ACCESS PROGRAM (EAP)
|

Currently Tibotec provides access to two of its compounds via an Expanded Access Program:
- TMC125, a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), also known as etravirine
- TMC114, a protease inhibitor (PI), also known as darunavir
Both TMC125 and TMC114 have been approved in the US and EMEA as well as in several other countries. TMC114 EAP is only still open in a few countries until available and reimbursed. Following local regulations and/or reimbursement discussions, the TMC125 EAP has been closed in several countries. For a list of countries where TMC125 EAP and/or TMC114 EAP are still open, please click here.

In compliance with local regulations, the EAP is either run as a clinical trial or on a named patient basis in a particular country. The EAP program provides access for HIV-1 infected patients who need the compounds to construct a viable treatment regimen.

"We know that many people living with HIV/AIDS have limited treatment options because of the increasingly significant issue of viral resistance, and we are working to provide them with access as soon as possible through this program," said Paul Stoffels, M.D., Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development Company Group Chairman. Tibotec is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative HIV/AIDS drugs and anti-infectives for diseases of high unmet medical need.
