The name Tibotec has become synonymous with our virology and infectious disease therapeutic area. It encompasses our research and development organization, which employs people in five sites throughout the world; our global marketing team; several of our country-level commercial operations; and the U.S.-based Tibotec Therapeutics.



The main R&D facility in Mechelen, Belgium, is home to more than 100 research scientists, including virologists, medicinal chemists, molecular biologists, and bioinformaticians - and it continues to expand. With one of the largest biosafety level 3 (BSL3) laboratories in Europe, Tibotec R&D is fully equipped to carry out the complex processes required for HIV and advanced virologic research activity.
